Detoxification is one of the PRIMARY prerequisites for health. Without detoxifying, toxins accumulate in the body eventually building up and causing illness and suffering. When detoxing, however, one must pay attention to not overwhelming the body as the stored toxins make their way out. Toxins hurt the body twice - once on the way in - and on the way out - this is where the "detox headache" comes from. If you take an off-the-shelf "herbal cleanse" you need to start off easy, otherwise you run the possibility of the "detox headache" and flu-like symptoms that comes with a thorough detox and can can be distressing if you work a schedule, have kids, etc. Think about this... When you get the flu, you are really sick for a few days, but then after the flu you often times feel better than you have in years! Same way with detoxing - if you overdo it you can feel like you've got the flu the next day - it'll then pass and you'll start to feel GREAT again.
